issue does not occur when private browsing is turned off. It started happening recently, not sure if it coincided with automatic firefox upgrade. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Please provide a screenshot of that, so I know what you are referring to.


See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Do you have Firefox set to use a Proxy? Use the Connection > Settings button to view the Connection Settings dialog panel.

If you don't need to use a Proxy, select No Proxy - hit OK, then restart Firefox.

iirc, I think I have seen recent mention of a Windows 7 update fiddling with Proxy settings in Firefox. Never heard of a Firefox update changing that setting, but who knows ...
