How do I change the right click rule from going to the page to staying on the website that the link is open?

I want to open links in websites and am wanting to stay on the current page while opening the tab and having it go to the right. How do I change this?

Usually, if you use right-click > Open Link in New Tab, it does open in the background. There are links that may act oddly because they trigger a script. But it should work most of the time.

Could you check this setting:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the Tabs section, you want this box unchecked:

"When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately"

If it already is unchecked, switch it twice, i.e., click it to turn it on, then click it to turn it off.

Any improvement?
