TB keeps marking emails from 2 senders as junk, even though they are in my Address Book & junk control configured to not mark mail from contacts as junk

I have one IMAP email acct where Thunderbird is constantly marking emails from 2 particular senders as junk.

Both senders are in my Address Book.

The junk controls for this account are configured to NOT mark mail as junk when the sender appears in the Address Book.

But pretty much ALL emails from these 2 senders are always marked as junk.

I have manually un-marked them as junk numerous times. Thunderbird then goes back & re-marks them as junk - sometimes immediately after I un-mark them. It's very annoying.

One of these is a sender that I get email from frequently. I had to turn off moving junk emails automatically to another folder because I might lose an important email.

These are marked as junk, with the orange flame icon?

Very often when Thunderbird is doing something that the settings have been set to forbid, it turns out that someone or something else is doing it. Some mail providers run anti spam software that intercepts your messages and classifies some of it as junk or spam. A few of them do use a folder named "junk".

Please check what your email provider offers in the way of spam detection, and see if it can be set to trust these senders.

Right now, my gmail account is putting many of the messages from this forum into its Spam folder. Grrrr. We know gmail is doing this, because Thunderbird doesn't use the term "spam".
