It looked like a couple of my extensions did not update for a few weeks at least even though "Update automatically" was checked.

I manually clicked "check for updates" but it said "no updates found".

I had to manually find the extensions on addons.mozilla.org and re-download them that way.

This is on FF 57.0.3.

It’s possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Delete all extensions files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.

See "Corrupt extension files":

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You will have to approve the updating one last time.

Should I delete the extensions folder? Or just the .ini and .json file?

You can check the Browser Console to see if there is more detail shown.

Only what I instructed above.

Did that, but it still isn't recognizing that there is an update for my extensions.

Did you also check the creator of those Extension to see if they have update to support the FF57 so that they will work? Just updating won't do you need to go to their site and see what if any updates or no updates are going on to the Extensions.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.4 with a Full Version Installer

I don't have Firefox installed in Program Files, it's in my user directory since I don't have admin rights on this computer.

Would that cause the issue?
