can you rename an address book?
I have two address books named "collected addresses," and would like to rename one "New Church Members," as all my recent contacts have appeared here. I think the first address book was imported from my laptop's thunderbird address book and this one was created on my tower, or vice versa. However, I cannot figure out how to rename an address book. Will appreciate any help.

The Personal and the Collected books are default to Thunderbird and cannot be renamed. If you imported one of the Collected books that you have I would think that you could rename that one. If that does not work, create a new address book, go to the Collected book you wanted to rename, select one contact press control+a to select all Drag all those contacts to the new book and drop them there.

Right click the Address book folder on the left side and select Properties. The only choice there is to rename.
That was the first thing I tried. A dialog box indeed DOES appear, but does not allow text entry, nor deletion of the text already there.
