Why can't I drag and drop tabs and pin them on my Firefox browser?

Before the latest update, I was able to drag and drop a tab on my Firefox browser and pin it under the url bar. For example, if I wanted to save YouTube to my browser window, I would just drag and drop the tab with YouTube open and it would pin it so that it would stay on my window, so that I can access it the next time I open Firefox. Now whenever I try to drag and drop a tab, it doesn't actually pin the tab.

Please do not confuse this with the 'pin tab' option where you right click a tab and it gives you a list of options for that tab. No, I want to drag and drop the tab and save it to my window. This allows me to see more than just the icon that pinning a tab does.

  • Things to consider

1. I'm currently using Windows 10 on my Lenovo Laptop 2. I don't have this issue whenever I use my desktop computer that runs Windows 7 3. I have the latest version of Firefox on my laptop and I have updated Firefox on my desktop computer.

Since do not use myself this is what I have come up with. It has to do with Pocket : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/save-web-pages-later-pocket-firefox Then there is this one which is more of what you are looking for I think : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-new-tab-page

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
