When I try to send an e-mail I get the message " http://treefrognight.com is requesting your username and password. WARNING: Your password will not be sent to the website you are currently visiting!" (but if I press "cancel" the warning messages goes away and I can send my e-mail) Worse, though, is when a business client replies to an e-mail I send--they get the following message: "To view this page, you must log in to area “tfn” on treefrognight.com:80". Though they too can override this--but they won't always know that.

The e-mail address with the issues is part of my own domaine cedartreellc.com

I do have other e-mail addresses in thunderbird that are from my other domaine, treefrognight.com.

Does anyone have any clue about how to resolve this bizarre crossover?

My guess is you are using images, probably in a signature that are stored in a password protected part of your web site. Or it may be some sort of read / tracking that you are embedding in your outgoing mails that is not correctly configured.

thank you Matt! you are a miracle worker. I have been living with that message for so long. Turns out I had an image in my signature line that was referenced from my other website that I shut down in late October! I deleted that line and no more error message!
