Firefox is constantly spawning new apps that pop up on top of everything else on my phone.

I close them and they open again and again. I force stop Firefox and they stop for a while then come back.

I've attached a picture of the app that pops up in my multi-tasking screen.

Hi DocWalt, unfortunately the image didn't upload. Can you try attaching it to a reply?

That icon makes me think it could be the Mozilla Crash Reporter. Can you confirm that, or is it not loading any further? Are you seeing a corresponding message that the tab crashed?

I saw a thread earlier this week that seems like a similar problem: how Can I stop the crash reporter from constantly opening? (unsolved).

I literally just get a white screen that constantly pops up. Same as that thread...

I open about:crashes and I have literally thousands of crashes just from today.

There is something gravely wrong with 63.0.2, this was not an issue before.

Possibly it's a bug triggered by a particular web page, or an interaction with a web page and an add-on. Can you disable add-ons you can live without for 60 minutes to see whether that makes any difference?

Find and install extensions on Firefox for Android -- see the "How do I update, change options or remove add-ons?" section

It's also possible a page's code has changed but a stuck cached file is causing a loop. You can clear the cache using the steps in this article:

Thanks for the help! I've tried all of the suggestions and unfortunately it still crashes. Sometimes only once in the middle of the night, but sometimes crashes seemingly hundreds of times in a row while I'm trying to actually use my phone.
