Are you referring to the Password for your Firefox Account?

If so, see the screenshot of the warning message that appears when a user goes to reset their Firefox Account password. Clearly states that browsing data will be deleted from the Sync server. Sorry.

Only the data on the servers is removed. Any data on your other synced devices are unaffected.

Hi pdragoev, did you use the Windows 10 Refresh/Reset feature? It often moves your old data into a temporary folder named

C:\Windows.old

If you find that:

Set Windows to show hidden files and folders:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files

Then explore up this path:

C:\Windows.old\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Anything there?

Windows may delete this folder after 28 days, so take some time to rescue out any other program data you might need.

Note that Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup, but is merely meant to Sync personal data between other connected devices. A password reset of the Sync account will always wipe all data stored on the Sync server because an internal key derived from the original password is used to encrypt and decrypt data stored on the Sync server. There is currently a recovery key available to allow access in case you do not remember the password or otherwise can't access the Sync account, but you would have to store this key as well in a safe place.

Best is to backup data that you value locally in a safe place.
