After a recent windows 10 upgrade on my laptop Firefox will not open properly, all I get is a blank window, this has forced me to use Microsoft Edge as a browser and I would rather use Firefox. I have tried uninstalling and re-installed and still I get the blank screen. Is this a secret plot by Microsoft? Does any one have any suggestions how I can restore Firefox? Oddly Firefox works fine on my desktop after the Windows 10 upgrade!

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I remembered that Intel also updated the driver on the chip-set so I reinstalled the VGA driver and problem was solved. So either during the process of the Windows 10 or Intel upgrades the VGA driver files were corrupted and reinstalling the driver solved the issue.
