Why do name-specific bookmarks fail with Facebook on first access, recent change
After I start Firefox 69.0.3, clicking on a bookmark of the form https://facebook.com/firstname.lastname gives an error message "Your request could not be processed." My FB toolbar is displayed but not the remainder of the FB page. I have dozens of bookmarks that all behave the same way. If I click on my name on the FB toolbar, the entire FB page displays. From then on, all my FB bookmarks work until I close FF and restart it. In all cases, the correct FB page address shows. These bookmarks have been working for a very long time and this problem has occurred in the last week or two. The bookmark https://facebook.com (without a specific person's page name) displays a complete page and not just the toolbar even after FF startup.

This problem resolved itself on Oct 15. Both the Facebook and State Farm problem went away at the same time. I am guessing the problem was upstream of my copy of FF but downstream of the individual Facebook and State Farm web sites. Perhaps, my ISP is at fault. Thanks.

I have another example with a similar failure. This web address fails from a bookmark https://quickstatus.claims.statefarm.com/#/ The State Farm error message starts "Something is wrong on our end..." but this web address succeeds from another bookmark. https://www.statefarm.com/claims/claims-help
It occurs to me that there is at least one issue common to the Facebook and the State Farm problems. The "dot" character is used as parts of names as well as the conventional uses (www.sitename.com). The FB problem address looks like: http://www.facebook.com/firstname.lastname where the "dot" character is included in "firstname.lastname" The FB error message is "Your request could not be processed." The FB address that works is http://www.facebook.com where no name includes the "dot" character
Hope this is helpful.
