Non-maximized private windows refuse to open to full height no matter what I do!

Okay, so I often like to have windows open to the full height of the screen, but not the full width. However, no matter what I do, whenever I open a new private window in this state, it defaults to being just slightly less than full height and I have to manually pull it down every single time. If I shorten the window, it opens to the shorter height, but if I lengthen it again, new windows revert to not-quite-full height.

Also, when I first open Firefox after changing the size thus, it sometimes defaults to full height (though Private windows still never do) and sometimes opens to full height, but shifted up slightly so the bottom doesn't quite reach the taskbar and the top extends slightly past the top of the screen.

I have no idea what could possibly be causing this - I have tried refreshing Firefox and I've tried deleting xulstore.json, both of which accomplished precisely nothing, so I'd appreciate any help on this.

Do you have "Resist Fingerprinting" enabled as this affects the window size ?

The Resist Fingerprinting is set to False. I tried setting it to True, but that just made it worse - not only did it make windows open even shorter with no way to change that, Firefox also started refusing to ever open windows maximized, only ever opening them in the smaller form.
