I am using FF 72.0.2 (64-bit) on an iMac running: macOS High Sierra (10.13.6). My iMac is a mid 2011 machine w 20GB of RAM with an internal 1TB SSD.

CNET runs with the Disqus commenting engine I believe. But the menus and such don't load properly, I cannot run searches, or login, and when I press the comments button at the end of an article, I never get the window panel on the right hand side of the page. I tried clearing my cache, removing all downloaded files, and no change in behavior.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
