Hi.

I have bought a new laptop and have installed the Firefox browser but have forgotton my Firefox password. The password reset email from Firefox does not render as HTML; the email just presents as plain text. So, I cannot see the password reset link.

I saw a 'hack' that suggested copying and pasting the email text into Notepad and save as a *.eml file but Notepad doesn't have the *.eml option. I'm on Windows 10.

Any ideas how to resolve this issue.

Many thanks.

Certain email providers don't render the Firefox Account emails correctly sometimes, in my experience. In many cases, if you forward the email to a different email provider (if possible), it will display correctly on there.

I will also send you a private message with more information, since this type of question does contain private information that shouldn't be posted publicly on this forum.

As a side note, if you do want to try the .eml suggestion that you've found, you can save any file extension using Microsoft Notepad, even though it only lists .txt. To do that, change the Save as type to All files and manually type .eml to the end of the file name.

Hope this helps.
