Hello all,

is there a preferred feedback-hub for thunderbird, something like user-voice?

Since the update from 68 to 78 I was confronted with to much changes I couldn't handle and thus have downgroaded again. Since I don't know where to post the feedback I will describe here what bothers me the most:

Folder symbols The new folder symbols are SVG, that's a plus and they could be colored, nice. But managing 50+ folders and re-color every one of them is too complicated and not intuitive. Because I'm sure that one time after coloring every folder, the setting is changed again (with a update or so) and all the work re-coloring the folders is gone (threshold to do the re-coloring by hand). Anyway, with those new symbols, I find it personally hard to find my folders. Somehow they all look the same. It would be nice to either select a variety of symbols or to set colors not only for each folder itself, but also for folder groups or special folders (like inbox or trash). To approach this I've learned a bit about the userChrome.css and could (at least) color my folders to a preferred color scheme (all inboxes are green and so on).

Message composing, no CC and BCC fields There is now an additional click needed to add CC and BCC fields. In the previous version you could simply hit the Enter-key and then there was a dropdown to select the field of the next mail recipient (like CC, BCC, answer to). Now the Enter-key goes to the subject text field, so enter has now the same function as the Tab-key? The CC and BCC fields could be changed in the userChrome.css to always be enabled, but hey: I'm not a thunderbird coder, I just simply want a user-friendly message composing window. And adding clicks and additional steps to create a message is (at least for me) not user friendly.

Thats why I would like to know, if there exists a feedback-hub or a "what's next" where I could find updates on those topics to give them a try. For the moment I stay with the 68 version, because it's way user-intuitive than the newer 78 version.

Best regards

Alain

it will not change for at least a year. If ever.

There is a user interface mailing list you might join I suppose if you are interested in the topic. https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/ux
