Firefox opening but not loading any page while other browsers do. Tried all the solutions posted to date.
Hello everyone,
Firefox starts but cannot load any page while other browsers do. What have I done so far: 1. Uninstalled Firefox and installed latest version from scratch. 2. Deleted cookies and cache 3. Changed the options at Windows Firewall settings (deleting Firefox and adding it again as indicated in support posts) 4. All the above after starting in Safe Mode
If that helps or haw something to do with Firefox problem, I have downloaded and installed Proton VPN (a service by ProtonMail company) relatively recently
Any ideas please?
Thanks a lot in advance!

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll. See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019":
Dear cor-el, thank you for your reply. You are absolutely right! After my post I came across a topic in the support.mozilla forum about visuall C++. I downloaded the redistributable package and after that Firefox was all great again.
