Why isn't Lockwise saving passwords even though it's been allowed it to?

I've been slowly migrating away from Chrome to Firefox on advice from friends. All of my bookmarks from Chrome were able to be imported, but not logins and websites. I have followed all of the steps regarding privacy settings and importing such info, including making sure Chrome is closed before importing, but to no avail. In addition, when I try to manually save logins/passwords in Firefox, the dialogue box asking if I want to save this information appears and I select yes. However, when I check my saved logins/passwords, there are zero.

All of my permissions are set to allow Firefox to remember this information, yet it still doesn't after multiple attempts on my part and multiple messages from FF saying that it has successfully saved said info.

In addition, when trying to import logins/passwords from Chrome, the dialogue box says it was successful, but another yellow dialogue box appears telling me to login with my Primary Password, yet does nothing when I click on it except take me to the Logins and Passwords page.

Is there a step I'm missing in all of this that would make the browser tell me all of this is working when in fact it isn't?

While this step led me in the right direction, I am still getting the following error message. Is a Primary Password necessary for all such security changes?

Try to rename logins.json and key4.db in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to start with fresh files.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

I've renamed the file 'logins.json' to 'logins.cvs' in order to import my password files from Chrome, yet when I try to import them, I am still given the error message (see attached pics) with a yellow dialog box saying I must enter my primary password. When I click on the 'OK' button to do so, I am simply taken to the Logins & Passwords page with no prompt to enter my Primary Password or even set a new password. When I manually try to create a Primary Password, I am given an error message saying I am unable to do so.

How do I solve this persistent problem? It seems that every change I try to make is challenged by this one error message and there is no clear solution. It is also worth noting I was never prompted at any point during my profile creation to create this password. I would very much like to use this service, but I'm growing quite frustrated with the many failed attempts to make it work properly.

I have found a work-around to the continued password problem I outlined above. By disabling add-ons and restarting Firefox in Safe Mode, I was able to see all of my imported data on the 'Logins/Passwords' page. After that, everything auto-filled as it should for each page I opened. I am afraid to turn the add-ons back on in case the problem should occur again since I'm not entirely sure which one was causing the problem. Is the problem I've been having with Lockwise? What is a good solution for this problem?
