My coworker states that she can receive emails in Thunderbird but cannot send emails out properly. When she sends an email, it will not save in the "sent folder" and will continuously ask her to try to save in the "local folder".

I checked it out and messages such as "unable to communicate with peer" come up. Then Add security exception" message comes up. Then after bypassing both these messages, a message stating "Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors." appears.

Recently updated Thunderbird to the latest version so I understand that configurations may need to be modified but I do not know what would need to change to fix the problem. Issues started happening around November of 2020.

The 'unable to communicate with peer' error usually means the smtp server doesn't support the minimum version of TLS required by TB 78. The workaround is to adjust some preferences in TB to allow lower versions:
