Hey there!
Please see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1342447 for how to remove the double spacing.
Hope I helped!
Kind regards,

You can add a min-height rule in addition to reducing the padding.
You can use code in userChrome.css to modify the menu spacing.
Add CSS code to the userChrome.css file.
menupopup > menuitem, menupopup > menu { padding-top: 2px !important; padding-bottom: 2px !important; /*adjust*/ min-height: 22px !important; /*adjust or use unset*/ } *|*:root {--arrowpanel-menuitem-padding: 2px 8px !important;} /*adjust 2px value*/

In Firefox 69 and later you need to set this pref to true on the about:config page to enable userChrome.css and userContent.css in the chrome folder.
- toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets = true
