This issue was discussed at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1328332 which has been archived. The chosen solution was “try expanding the address book in the left pane and clicking on the actual list in there... as that is what is displayed in the status bar, the contact selecting in the pane on the left.” In my case this does not work. Even though the Status Bar is active, it shows nothing except that I am currently online. I am running TB 102.1.0.

Previously that information was in the bottom Status bar when you selected the address book or mailing list. But the new design is now in a tab, so the 'Status bar' has nothing to do with the Address book. You are not the only one who finds this annoying.
