I'm currently using a Windows 10 desktop computer most of the time, but will need to use a Windows 11 laptop for research travel several times over the next several months.

Will it be possible to copy my profile from Win 10 to the Win 11 computer, use the Win 11 computer for a few weeks, and then copy the profile back to the Win 10 computer?

Or is there something different about Thunderbird working with Win 10 or Win 11 that would keep this from working for me?

If the two computers are sharing the same version of Thunderbird, there is no problem. Also, if you are using IMAP protocol for accounts, there is no need to copy profile back and forth. The two computers will be in sync all the time anyway.

It's good to know different versions of Windows won't be a problem copying profiles back and forth (I have to use POP3, so I can't have the convenience if IMAP in this case).

Thanks for your advice, david!

You might want to avail yourself of the import and export options for profiles in the tools menu of V102..
