Since yesterday all of my folders in thunderbird disappeared! So I can not see anymore my emails. They are not completly disappeared, because if I use the search option in thunderbird to find a email, the email apear. Calendar and addressbook work normaly. I checked different view options but none of them work and I keep not seeing my folders. Can it be that the problem has arisen due to the last update from thunderbird?

Try this:

  • Menu icon > Help > More TRoubleshooting Information
  • Under 'Application Basics' about half way down is 'Profile Folders' - click on 'Open Folder'
  • In mac this might be called 'Open Finder'

It opens a new window showing the contents of the 'profile name' folder.

* Exit Thunderbird.

In the 'profile name ' folder, delete the following files:

  • folderCache.json
  • folderTree.json
  • session.json
  • xulstore.json

Start Thunderbird.
