After installing FireFox 110, mouse scroll wheel does not scrolling web page content
Mouse scroll wheel not scrolling web page after installing Firefox version 110. I installed an older version, 98, and it worked again, but that version would not use my profile and it seemed to update itself to 110 and then scrolling was broken again. Am I alone or is everyone broken at version 110?

An updated version of X-Mouse Button Control (XMBC 2.20) has been released. Issues with Firefox 110 should be fixed. To learn more, see https://forums.highrez.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4682

Per Bug 1798014, I configured gfx.webrender.software=true in about:config and it's working again.
Also am having this issue after upgrading to Firefox 110. Only two solutions appear to be either using Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode or by configuring the about:config preference as shown as in ForceRs' response.
This seems pretty severe. I can see non-power users being forced to move to Chrome or the like if they want to be able to simply browse the internet.

This could be a problem with "X-Mouse Button Control" as mentioned in the 110 release notes.
Note: A bug in the popular X-Mouse Button Control (XMBC) tool may cause mouse wheel scrolling to stop working. The author(s) are working on an update. Meanwhile, scrolling can be restored by reconfiguring XMBC: either disable the Make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor option in the global settings, or enable the Disable scroll window under cursor option if using a custom profile for Firefox.

Firefox 111.0b3 (64-bit) works after installing X-Mouse Button Control 2.20 and configuring gfx.webrender.software=false in about:config.
