Firstly, when I open a second Firefox browser window, it doesn't show any pinned tabs, and secondly, if I close the window without the pinned tabs last and then reopen Firefox, the pinned tabs are gone.

That's very annoying. Do you have a solution for this? Am I making mistakes in the settings?

Thanks for an early reply on this. Best regards Stefan

Pinned tabs are specific to a window, each window can have its own set of pinned tabs.

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox Title bar, especially if you have multiple windows open to prevent losing tabs in unnoticed windows as only the last closed window is restored.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit
