I am trying to diagnose a problem with my POP3 setup. When I click "Get Messages" there are a number of messages that flash through the status bar and then disappear when a new status message appears. All of this happens too fast for me to read all of the messages. I can only see "There are no new messages."

Are these messages logged somewhere so that I can review all of them? Can the status bar be expanded so that it shows multiple messages in sequence?

Try the activity manager on the tools menu.

Thanks, Matt. I didn't know about Activity Manager. Unfortunately, it seems that Activity Manager shows me what is likely the last of a series of messages that flash by on the status bar. It may say, for example, "No messages to download." But I'd like to know whether it successfully connected to the server or just gave up.

What I'm really looking for is a transcript that shows every line of messages that appeared on the status bar.
