New installed firefox is not sync with my older one
I recently installed Firefox on my new computer and when I tried to log into my account to sync browsing history, saved logins, extensions, etc., I realized that I forgot my Firefox account password. After I reset my firefox account password, firefox is now not syncing any of my data.
New: Is it true that changing the Mozilla account password will cause the sync data to be lost? If so, why didn't I get any warning before changing the password? In the current state, if I log in the account on Firefox Android, will the information on the Android device be lost, or will the desktop Firefox sync with it? please guide me

Resetting the password for the Mozilla account because you do not remember the password will remove all data stored on the Sync server because this password is used to encrypt your data locally for security reasons before it is uploaded to the Sync server and only this password or a possible recovery key can decrypt this data.
I think that Firefox will show a warning if you reset this password via connecting to Sync. Where did you reset this password?

Hey Shaho,
Since this is something I dare not test on my account, you should reset your password again to verify if you get a prompt and post a screenshot of it. I'm not a fan of the policy to delete data if you change the password. I cannot think of anyone on the web with such a policy. ;-/

Is there anyway to use the data from his phone or is he SOL?
