When doing somethings in Thunderbird, like setting up or changing message filters, a new window appears on the screen with the options. However this window (and others like it) are often bigger than the screen size. (I use an old 1280x1024 screen as I am sight impaired, but even ona full size screen this can happen.)

The problem is that these windows are not adjustable in size. If the button you require is off thee screen. it is not possible to click on it. This makes configuration very hard, especially if it is the Submit button.

Is there any easy solution? There are many times when this can happen and adjusting the default text size at the system level does not help. When the window displayed is too large and you cannot shrink it or move it enough to display the buttons you want.

Thanks for any help.

This is more generally when there is more than one monitor, One large and one small like a laptop. But you make no mention of multiple monitors.

Hi Matt, no I just have one screen. I plug that into my closed laptop. The problem occurs with most of the windows for configuring things, but sometimes enough is visible just to work.

I have tried with just the laptop screen and no external monitor and even then so me windows are too large and not adjustable in size..

If needed I can do further screenshot or try other suggestions.
