Since the most recent update, I can no longer run YouTube full screen in the background while I am working with other programs. This morning, when I put YouTube in fullscreen, it creates a second desktop. When I go to open a program, it switches me back to the first desktop.

Change full-screen-api.macos-native-full-screen to false in about:config.
