I have used Thunderbird for many many years. It is my preferred email. I bought a new Dell XPS computer and loaded Thunderbird. When I go to add my email addresses and passwords, I get error messages that say Unable to Log in at server, configuration issues. However, I have been on the phone with my internet provider and there is nothing wrong with the set up, sever, etc. Confirmed password and all. Everything is fine on their end and, also, on my previous computer, email is working just fine. When I seek to do the add manually, I get a message that the incoming server is a duplicate. But I'm not doing anything, but trying to set up the email. I didn't change any incoming server info. This is very frustrating, as I have to use my phone to get my emails.

Some email providers require separate passwords for use with PC clients, and some email provider's support staff are unaware of that. Possibly, if you post more info on your account some suggestions will be offered. Thank you.

Not sure where to post any info. The password is all that is requested when giving the email address. Also, it is set up and working perfectly fine on another computer with Thunderbird. I was on the phone with the internet provider for a very long time. We tried it with other email software and it worked perfectly fine.

Okay, so maybe if you post what appears to the right of the @ in your email address, someone may have suggestions.. So far, you have told us nothing to work with.
