Spell check no longer working
My messages are no longer being spell-checked as I am typing the message or just before sending the email. I think it stopped performing this function 2-4 weeks ago even with both options checked under settings.

Try unchecking the selections in settings, closing TB and then relaunching.

Thank you for your idea. That did not work, but it made me realize I should try reinstalling Thunderbird and downloading the dictionary add-on. Then I tried your idea, and it worked!
