I have a number of websites (like google, facebook, and a couple of wikis) that I want to log on to automatically. I have checked "Keep me logged in", but this doesn't work. Is there any way to do this?

Check if your "Remember passwords.." option is disabled. You can find it from menubar>Tools>Options>Security panel. Enabling it should solve your problem. Otherwise you should check if cookies are enabled in your firefox. This can be found in menubar>Tools>Options>Privacy.
