My FF folder... \usr\lib\firefox-3.6\ did not have a plugins folder so I added it and then did the ln -s /usr/java/jre1.6.0_23/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so, restarted and no plugin so I deleted the plugin folder. I tried the /root/.mozilla/firefox/ and added the symbolic link, restarted and nothing, added a plugins folder and tried again and nothing. I have tried adding the symbolic link everywhere that either Java or FF instructions say but I can NEVER get it to work. I need to have Java for an application I need to run so I need to get this working. ANY help or ideas would be great. Thanks

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you need the Next-Generation Java™ Plug-In present in Java 6 U10 and later (Linux: libnpjp2.so; Windows: npjp2.dll).
