Running Firefox 3.6.13 and the tabs doesn't work. Ctrl T or + key both do not create a new tab page. Any solution out there?

That problem is caused by the Ask.com toolbar extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions).

Disable the Ask.com toolbar. That worked for me as "cor-el" mentioned above! Thanks for posting it "cor-el"
