Ever since I updated my firefox a month or two ago I now switch to any new tabs opened within my browser....And yes, I know there is an option that says "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately." This is obviously unchecked. On my laptop there is no issue with this, when I open a number of things into tabs they all file in right behind one another and I can switch over to them when I wish to. Now on my desktop PC, if I go to open a few successive tabs I will automatically switch to each newly opened tab and have to go to my original window to continue what I was doing.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I only use the default theme on Firefox. I would say it does it the worst on websites such as Facebook, if I open multiple tabs on different people or groups or events etc. it will start tabbing me over one...if that makes any sense. So I open up 3 tabs and then I go to open up another tab and it will then shift my screen one tab over
