Firefox won't warn me about closing multiple tabs, even though it is set to do so. How do I fix this?

In preferences, the box that says "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" is checked. However, when I use "Command/Apple Q" to quit firefox, even with multiple tabs, I don't get a prompt that warns me about closing them. I really want this to be resolved, as I often quit applications by mistake, and I don't want to lose all the stuff I have. Thank you for helping!

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session.
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.

Another possibility is to use:

  • Firefox > Preferences > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

I don't want my sessions saved though. I just want to be warned when I'm about to quit accidentally out of a ton of tabs. The option is still in the preferences, so why won't it work?
