Do I need to use the security program McAfee with Firefox? I just purchased a new computer & these are the security programs installed. The default seems to be Firefox & I have to resubscribe in June for McAfee.

Firefox is just a web browser, you still need an anti-virus program and a firewall.

There is no need to pay for them, there are free alternatives. I use the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials.

Firefox is just a web browser, you still need an anti-virus program and a firewall.

There is no need to pay for them, there are free alternatives. I use the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials.
