i got the update notice for 4.0, in updated... and i hated it. so i switched back to 3.x. since then, 3.x has had updates, so i figured maybe 4.x was a new branch with that new interface that i didn't like, and 3.x was fine.

is this not the case? and now what is 5.x? does that still have the ugly new interface? can i put 5.x on parallel with 3.6. to try it out? or will 5.0 just wipe out my 3.6 completely?
and, are there plug-ins or skins for the 4 or 5 interface to customize them?
thanks for any help you can offer!

i have read on the firefox site that security updates and fixes for older versions will be discontinued after a short time. so the basic answer is yes, we'll have to go to 4 or 5. 5, i presume. however, we don't need to do it YET..... :X
