Firefox 6.0 (release) has a memory leak.

Tested with 5 windows and 43 pages loaded and left overnight, it crashed after several hours. Able to fully repro this every time.

I left it for 10 mins after all pages loaded. I opened Task Manager and I can see the Memory (Private Working Set) increasing every few seconds.

I have just switched to Chrome after using Firefox 7 for several weeks. I am actually sorry about this, but I could no longer live with these memory leaks. But hey ... Chrome is pretty great!.

I have the same issue with V7. Under normal operating FF7 uses about 400MB of memory (which is much better than FF6). Still if I leave it running overnight, that memory runs over 1.5Gb. I am also using/testing FF8 and I have not had this issue, so hopefully it will continue that trend. Also just for the record, I also use Chrome, Opera, and Safari and Chrome is the only one that doesn't have this problem. In fact Opera seems to be the worst. It usually goes over 2Gb and I don't have anywhere near as many extensions loaded.

Just my 2 Cents...

UPDATE: Now that FF8 is live it's working perfectly, but FF9 has gone back and is now sucking up the memory.

Also, just FYI I also have a 64 bit windows box running the 64bit version (nightly) and it seems to work fine.
