Since the latest update to FF 7.0.1 Firefox no longer resizes the window when I double click on the tab bar. I can maximize the window by double clicking on the top of the window like in any other Windows program, but to resize I have to click on the standard resize button and can no longer just double click on the empty tab bar to resize the browser.

How can I get this feature back?

Windows 7 64-bit, FF 7.0.1

Double-click on the title bar is what would maximize the window, or restore to normal. That should work even with tabs on tab, because with tabs on top you gave up double-click on on tabs bar to create a new tab.

You have something interfering, you can check to see if an extensions is at fault, or you use "Alt+SpaceBar" and the menu it brings up.

On Windows 7 you could also use WinKey+up-arrow and WinKey+down-arrow. You can use WinKey+left-arrow or WinKey+right-asrow to place a half screen window to left/restore/right side across one or more screens.
