Cannot move old profile to new installation
I need to move my FF profile to a new FF installation on a new PC, but I cannot get the profile to "stick".
I have tried copying the old profile's files into the new default folder and changing the .ini file's default to match, but it isn't working. I tried deleting the new default profile and inserting the old one, but the new default profile folder recreates itself. Where is FF storing the new default profile number and how can I change it?
I know it is possible to move an existing profile to a new FF installation as i have done it before, but I just cannot get it to work this time. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply mha007.
I got it to "stick". I ended up deleting the new profile folders, renaming the old profile to match the new alphanumeric default and modifying the profile.ini to match the new numbers. That worked.
You are welcome !
