How do I get the original website bookmark icons back after upgrading to 13.0?

I just upgraded for Firefox 13.0 but have lost all of the bookmark icons under that Bookmark menu. They are all generic icons. Some of the original icons are still visible in the Bookmark Toolbar. This happened once before after an upgrade and I tried the about:config setting change and that worked. This time, it doesn't. Is there something I've missed? Thanks.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:
