On google chrome I get:

Google Chrome's connection attempt to www.google.com was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured. Here are some suggestions: Reload this webpage later. Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using. Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again. If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Settings > Show advanced settings... > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

If that is not the source of the problem, maybe you just don't have permission to watch that document. Contact its owner.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

there must be something blocking the access to the particular location. Since the same problem appears in other browsers too I suspect a firewall. Try to disable it just for the testing purposes.

When I disabled the windows firewall and rebooted, I was finally able to access both Google adsense and Google docs.

As soon as Windows firewall is turned on, access is lost. Now the question remains how can I keep my Windows firewall and access my docs at the same time?

I am using MS Security Essentials and the Windows firewall. Disabling Windows firewall does not resolve problem, unless I reboot.

I have used system restore going back 3 weeks and for a while yesterday was able to access my adsense and google docs and load chrome. By the end of the day access to adsense and chrome was again denied.

I had thought the problem was related to AVG Secure search which had taken over my Google search. Google search now seems ok.

I am on a Belkin home network.
