At random times, doing random things or doing nothing at all my firefox browser crashes, i have hardware acceleration off already and the crashes persist. I've tried recreating the crashes to try and pinpoint the problem but i can't, any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Humor me, uninstall Firefox first, if you use a system cleaner run it to remove leftovers, then search Mozilla and Firefox files and delete them, make sure you delete the FF installer. Restart your computer and reinstall FF. Then see what happens. I had this happen with FF 14. It solved my problem. Good luck.

Can you go to to Help and click Trouble Shooting and check the crash reports ??

I was hoping you could see something that occurs the same on each time it crashes. Or maybe disable add-ons. You see, removing FF, deleting the files , and even going into regedit and deleting the Mozilla keys , totally removes all traces of FF, and when you reinstall it is a completely different FF. Have you tried installing an older version and then slowly updating ?? like FF3, or even FF 11.

i was gonna downgrade as a last resort kinda thing, i used revo uninstaller to completely uninstall all traces of firefox and it didn't help, i looked a the top 5 crash reports and the crashes are all different things and it seems like i'm not the only person experiencing these issues since the comments portion is full of people reporting the same thing.

Try the down grade, also after using Revo, if you scan for leftover files you will still find some. I use Revo and then I use Search Everything to find the leftovers. Try the down grade. I'm using FF 15.1 and I've been upgrading since FF 2.0.
