How do I get a tab to NOT blank out when a window pups up or on a reload of a page?

When I reload a page the tab blanks out completely. Also, I work with a web application that utilizes pop up windows to enter data and when the window comes up the tab is black. However, I want to be able to see what is on the tab.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thanks, I tried in Safe Mode and it still happened. I updated a couple plug ins and disabled hardware acceleration but still it occurs. I am using the default theme so no change there. I also reset and it didn't change. I only have two extensions and they are not an issue.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
