Hi

I have a blogger blog (www.veraveritas.eu) and I don't know why javascript clickable functions stopped working in Firefox (but they work in IE)

For example: - Reply link on comments - Dropdown menu posts history do not work

I disabled any anti-popup aaplication on this site, but still don't work

May you kindly help?

Thank you

Oooops, really sorry, I missed something. I use the NoScript extension and when I was enabling/disabling scripts on your page, I disabled the latex script from codecogs.com. When I enable that script, it breaks the Blogger widgets.

The latex script runs through various parts of the document replacing the contents of elements using innerHTML. When a script assigns even the existing contents to innerHTML, it destroys certain kinds of event handlers, so I think this is why the widgets stop working. Unless you can find a way to make the Blogger script run AFTER the latex script, then you probably need to find or write a less destructive latex script.

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

Hi joao_pimentel, you are correct that in order for the "triangles" to work the script from blogger.com must load correctly.

When you updated your AdBlock settings, did you create an exception for blogger.com as well?

In some cases, Firefox may use an out-of-date cached file, or may suffer from a corrupted cookie. So, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove your blogger.com cookies (save any pending work first). You can open the cookie dialog using either:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

In the search box at the top, change the domain to blogger.com. Then remove the cookies.

Finally, try reloading your page. Does that help?

Hi jscher2000

Thank you so very much for your attention, though, still the same :(

So strange

I refreshed the blog and blogger site using CTRL+ALT+R

I cleaned all cookies from both sites and I cleared the cache from my firefox

I also created an exception on AdBlock, to acept blogger.com

Finally I refreshed the page, and still nothing :(

I attach an image of my addons

Than you again, anyway

Do you have the same problem on other Blogger/Blogspot blogs? For example: http://securitygarden.blogspot.com/

I wonder whether you could check Firefox's Error Console for any messages.

  • Press Ctrl+Shift+j to open the Error Console, then click the Clear button
  • In your blog page, click a non-working "triangle"
  • Switch back to the Error Console to see whether Firefox reports a specific JavaScript error

Hi, thank you!

That's really strange! It does work on the blog you have mentioned

Does it work on my blog with your firefox browser?

I tried what you mentioned. On the beggining as the page loads, it appears a lot of warnings, but no errors. Then I clean it, I press the "triangle" but no errors appear

by the way, as I move the mouse over the "triangle" it appears on the bottom of the browser:

javascript: void(0)
