Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

When I study the crash data, only one or two other users have similar crash signatures. Either it is something new or something rare...

The presence of Microsoft DLLs among the loaded modules makes me wonder whether you had accessed SharePoint or Office websites from Firefox before it crashed? Do you notice any correlation there?

Thanks, but no. Even if I don't access any sites, Firefox still crashes. I did load MS Office 2013 recently also retaining 2010.

Hello Burses, try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) and check firefox again.

(If works in Windows Safe mode then probably you have problem with other software, like security software or maybe a system driver, that is running on your computer).

thank you

Thanks, seems stable in Windows safe mode. Any suggestions for techniques to track down and solve the driver / application that is causing the problem? Only the only security software running is McAfee.

Hello, first see the next link for McAffe (it is for 2010-2011 products, i think there is no so much different with the new one), to check the settings if the problem is there :

Update McAfee Security Center and firewall settings to allow Firefox access to the Internet, see the resetting firewall settings also, if you have the suite.

for drivers see : Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

thank you
