This is Google phasing out their old search bar. It's not a Firefox error, it's Google. Try Bing.com or Yahoo.com for an alternative search engine which still has a bar at the top of the screen.

This is Google phasing out their old search bar. It's not a Firefox error, it's Google. Try Bing.com or Yahoo.com for an alternative search engine which still has a bar at the top of the screen.
