I had the same issue as the above question. Installing FF 26 left me with two sets of minimise, maximise and close buttons.

My solution was not included. So I will post it here. I ??think?? the issue was that FF 24 was installed and that updates had been disabled by the administrator.

To solve:

1) Uninstall FF. 2) Delete C:\program files\Mozilla Firefox 3) Install FF.

Any way I hope this helps others, it sorted it for me.
