Plus, if you mistyped the email address once when you register for a new account, you will NEVER get a chance to fix it. What makes things worse is that only after having typed in all the questions will you get to know that the email address correctness is a necessity for asking questions in this form.

The reason why you can't hide the Navigation Toolbar is because the new 3-bar Firefox menu button is positioned on that toolbar.
