In previous versions of Firefox (up to version 133), it was possible to automatically trigger printing of a PDF file by loading it into an iframe from a sandboxed iframe and call print. However, starting with version 134, this no longer works.

Is there any other way to automatically trigger the print dialog for a PDF file in Firefox, similar to how it can be done in Chrome/Edge (e.g., by opening the PDF in a new window and directly triggering the print dialog without additional button clicks)?

Firefox is my default application to view .pdf files. When I clicked the print button on the file, it automatically downloaded the file to my Download folder. When I click the download button I get the same result, which is expected.

How do I change the default print function to NOT download the file?

Firefox 134.0.2

Hi!

I was shocked when I recently visited a website of a company that offers IDEs. I've downloaded one of the IDEs a couple of weeks ago and now that I've came back to the website looking for plugins, the website still "knew" which version of the IDE I had downloaded because it gave me warnings about plugins not compatible with my IDE version. Now: My privacy settings in Firefox are "strict", the option "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" is checked and I've closed Firefox several times in the meantime. Still, the website has information about my identity.

I would have expected that with these settings something like what I've described wouldn't happen. I must say, I'm quite disappointed. Is there anything else that I can do within Firefox to enhance my privacy?

Plugins that I've installed: CanvasBlocker Cookie Autodelete Decentraleyes Forget Me Not NoScript
